Keep in Thoughts

Tomorrow my stepfather, Greg, is having knee replacement surgery. While we are all so thrilled (except for Greg) that he is having this done because he has been in soooo much pain recently we are just as scared because surgery is surgery so I would like to ask everyone to keep him in your thoughts as he gets a brand new knee tomorrow. Thanks in advance for doing so!

Gregory - I am so glad you have decided to go ahead and get this done. You will be so glad you did when things as simple as standing up becomes painless! We love you and we are thinking about you!

Birthday Weekend

Here are some pictures of the Mariners game that we went to on Friday...they lost in the 10th inning on account of an error (of which fans were pissed and really rude to the player by booing him off the field). We had a really good time on Deloitte's dime!

Ken Griffey Jr. up to bat in the 10 inning...he obviously didn't do anything impressive because we lost

Saturday was a successful day! Somehow after running 20 miles I was able to cook enough food for 21 people and have a great time celebrating my birthday with friends! Yes, that is correct Davis and I ran 20 miles Saturday morning and it marked the 2 week countdown for our first marathon!

The cookout turned out great as well. We had a crowd and it was great weather (not to hot and not to cool)!

Weekend Plans

Tonight Davis and I are going to watch a baseball game...the Mariners v. Minnesota Twins and I am super pumped! Davis tries to get free tickets every time they are offered through Deloitte and he finally got them!

Saturday is our biggest run in the entire marathon training program...we will be running 20 miles! After the run we have to prep for the birthday BBQ we are throwing on our roof! It should be lots of fun and I am very excited about it. I think there will be somewhere around 20 people attend...we are making friends yay!

I am hoping Sunday I can talk Davis into going sewing machine shopping. That's what mom, Greg, dad, and Barb got me for my birthday!

Here are some pictures and videos (The Can Can Castaways) of my birthday dinner! It was AWESOME! We enjoyed it quite a bit and got some great laughs out of it! Enjoy!

The show had some hilarious parts and this was one of them...he was Rainbow Bright before the Robot but I didn't get any footage of that!

Here I go again on my own!

All Journey fans must watch this one!

Birthday Love

Today is JUNE 3rd & that means it is my BIRTHDAY and I love my birthday! My birthday is like one of my favorite holidays because
1. I love being around all the people I love
2. I love getting to say "because it's my birthday"
3. I love throwing parties
4. I love that it is in June (summer) and that it evenly spaces out Christmas (the other major present receiving holiday)! My parents did an excellent job!
5. I also love the number 3 (it's a great number)

Now that you know that I absolutely love this day....I will let you know how I have spent it thus far and am going to continue to celebrate tonight!

This morning my sometimes wonderful husband made me pancakes (my favorite) and then I hit the pavement for a 10 mile run :( The marathon is officially 3 weeks from Saturday and I can stop this running madness!

I then proceeded in taking a shower and fixing myself a Tuna sandwich (another favorite). I then was off to work to spend the gorgeously HOT day with Viv. Viv and I had a wonderful day of reading and playing in the shade!

Tonight Davis is taking me somewhere I have wanted to go to for months.....The Can Can (It's a cabaret dinner show) and I am super pumped! I will post pictures soon.

Hope everyone had an amazing June the 3rd as well!

Busy Busy Busy

A lot has happened since I last blogged....or at least I feel like a lot has happened! Tito arrived in Seattle on Thursday and I baked a homemade pizza that we thoroughly enjoyed on the roof. It is a vegetarian pizza and it was delicious!

Friday night we enjoyed our favorite Mexican happy hour with a $3 food menu and then stopped at Red Robin for HUGE milkshakes (they are so yummy!). We then came home and watched Lakeside Terrace with Samuel L Jackson (it was an alright movie).

Saturday we went to Alki beach in West Seattle and it was lined with volleyball courts...there was some sort of tourney taking place. It was soo nice out and Davis's feet got really burnt.

That night I participated in my friend, Carly's, fashion show at her school. She is a design major at SPU and they put on a show every year. This year's theme was the oppression of humanity and how it was relieved through Christ in the 1970-2000's. Each designer had a different decade to design for and they all did a great job. I was so very proud of Carly. Her designs were definitely the best and she put the whole show together and it turned out great!

After the show Davis, Tito, and I went to Palamino's for the $5 pizza happy hour. It was great as always!

Today we went on the Ride the Ducks tour through Seattle and Lake Union. The ducks are amphibious vehicles that are well know in Seattle because they are always touring. I had been wanting to go because I like to learn new stuff about the city we live in and Tito was in town so it was a perfect opportunity! We learned quite a bit...such as the original color of the Space Needle was orange (Go Vols!) and Seattle has the highest per capita boat ownership.

After the duck tour Davis and I ran our long run of 14 miles and the enjoyed cheeseburgers and fries on the roof! If you can't tell we/I LOVE the roof!
