Weekend Getaway

A few weekends back, we flew home to spend the weekend in Gatlinburg with the family. It was a wonderful weekend getting to play in water all weekend with kids. I love water...swimming, water slides, hot tubs...I can't wait to be able to be in water everyday if I want!

It was also great to spend a weekend with the extended family, considering I usually get to see them once a year on the busiest day of the year (Christmas Eve). I loved getting to talk with them and not be rushed ;)

And I also got to spend time with my parents which is always a plus in my book, love them!

Sadly, these are the only pictures I took all weekend BECAUSE when any more than ONE kid is awake...it's IMPOSSIBLE to take pictures. The awesome thing about this is...I can't take pictures because they always want me involved in what they are doing and I wouldn't change that for anything! I do love my nieces and nephews more than they will ever know!

These pictures all consists of Jonas and Davis playing the iPad after midnight, we were the only 3 people awake and Jonas kept reminding us not to wake his mommy because he would then have to go to bed. Love these special times!

Thanks Mom and Greg for an awesome weekend, can't wait to do it again!

I'm in Miami, beach

We cut across the state of Florida and are currently storing vitamin D for the rainy city! It's sooo hot here, it's a nice change from normal February :)

Be mine

Our valentine's day was spontaneous and great...we were in Florida (last minute change to our schedule) with no plans/no reservations and realized we would never get beach front dining without a reservation. So we went to the fresh market picked up some sushi, wine, and a variety of desserts and watched the sunset with our food on a towel (from the hotel) on the beach. It was perfect, thanks Dave for letting me enjoy it!!

My lots to say

Now that I have updated you with some pictures, I will proceed to tell you what's been going on in our life....

Happy birthday to Gregory, Tammy, Dwayne, and Tyler! We love you all and miss you very much!

We lost my sweet sweet grandmother last weekend. Fortunately for her and us, she was 91 and lived a wonderful life. Unfortunately, this does not heal the heart. She was an amazing woman! I will miss hearing her compliments and stories. Davis, you have big shoes to feel on making me feel important ;) I was able to spend an entire day with my Dad, which doesn't happen often enough. I enjoyed that day and will never forget it!

In other news, my new job is going great. I have been on the road since starting on January 2nd. It appears I will be in Seattle next week, it only took 7 weeks!
I have been to Detroit, Chicago, Columbus, Orange County, and Austin. Davis and I extended our time in Austin and explored the city. We had a blast and soaked up as much Vitamin D as possible! I bought my first 'new' pair of cowboy boots and I love them! I am glad I waited to do it in Austin and in person (not online). It was a Wal-mart of boots, overwhelming a bit...yes!

Valentine's Day is next week, what are your plans? Davis will be in Florida so I am without a hubby :(
