We are officially Texans! Although we moved at the beginning of the month, we are crazy work life, we have only spent maybe 10 days in Austin. However, because my husband is a slave driver and we have already had 2 weekends worth of visitors...our place is our home! It is not completely finished, but it looks great and I love it! We have also already got sunburnt and it's only February!!
That will be an altogether different post because well it deserves it! But I don't feel like taking the time or energy to write about it so I will just go ahead and tell you that when Davis got home on Friday he felt pretty bad and because I lost my camera in Tahoe, he took me to get a brand new camera!! I love new things but I especially love new things that I get to use often!!
Here are some pictures from my new Nikon Coolpix S9100
we invented a new shot...yes, that is milk and there is crown in the shot glass

This weekend was busy as always. Friday night was date night at Quinn's, a gastropub in Capital Hill. I had chicken cooked in duck fat and it might have been the best chicken I have ever had. After dinner we headed to Molly Moon's for a little bit of this and a little bit of this... We do love ice cream :)
On Saturday, I tried hot yoga for the first time and it was great. I have been wanting to do it for a while and it just so happen my neighbor could get me into 1 class free that also included a free Italian lunch (free lunch = I am there)!! So for those of you who don't know, hot yoga = yoga in 100 degree room. I don't sweat often so for me to be soaking wet after 10 minutes was super impressive. I loved it, I just don't really have to time to do it during the week now that I am such a high powered business woman :)
After hot yoga and one of the best lunched ever, Dave and I headed to IKEA for some home improvement projects. We left IKEA with way more than we went for, but that seems to be the case every time. Here is what we accomplished this morning before Dave headed out to California.

After months of hard work we finally had our housewarming party today and it was great! We couldn't ask for better friends! We had 21 people show!! We did get to meet a lot of our neighbors which was a definite plus for us. We had tons to eat and drink and received some awesome wines and beverages in return, thanks everyone! We also received a plant, yay....hopefully this one will live! and also received some Froot Loops, someone knows us a little too well, maybe?
All in all it was a great time and I am glad we were able to show off our hard work and enjoy with those that matter the most :) I didn't take many pictures because we were so busy, but as always it turned into game night in the end so I do have a few that I will post eventually! I will definitely try to get some up soon of our place.
Thursday was the BIG day! It was the day we have all been waiting for, well at least Davis and me! It was wall bed installation day. The guys were pros and installed it in no time and it looks awesome! It saves us so much space and is super easy to pull down and up, we love it!

We get the prettiest sunsets all the time (esp in the summer) and yet I can't stop taking pictures although I have a million. Every time it is beautiful and I feel the need to capture it although there will be another. The pictures do not do it justice, but they will suffice as you are not here to see the real thing!
Every weekend we spend the majority of our time with our friends and love every minute of it and this weekend was no different. Friday night was Fajitas and game night at George's. As all game nights it was a blast. We started with Hoopla then Balderdash then Twister and then Apples to Apples. Needless to say we were out until 3 AM, which seems to be the case every weekend!

Saturday we took the dogs to the #8 dog park in North America, ran some errands, and had game night at our place. It was a more chill game night and we only played Mexican Train (dominoes).

Sunday we had a cookout at Farrah's and then we to the park to bask in the sun. We ended up playing volleyball without a net at the park and it was like we were 10 years old again :) Nisha was the only one that took pictures, maybe you will see them pop up on FB.
This week/weekend was also a very exciting week for our home, we designed the final plans for the wall bed and put in the order...in 3 short weeks our wall bed will be installed. We also finished our entertainment piece.
