Wedding Bliss

This past weekend we attended HG and Jed's wedding.  What an event!  It was beautiful, exquisite, and more fun than I could ever put in words!

We rented a house with Kristin and Russ for the weekend and it was wonderful.  It was on the top of the world and had amazing views!  It was so much fun being together but have our own space as well, I think this is the way I am going to do all weddings from now on.

Friday night was the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner at the equestrian center.  It was great getting to see everyone before the big day and being able to introduce Davis to everyone he didn't know but had heard so much about!

Saturday we walked around Carmel Valley and ejoyed a delicious lunch before getting ready for the BIG event.  A bus picked us up from the house so that no one had to be the designated driver, great idea!  We arrived at the venue and were greeted with a variety of drinks before being lead to the actually wedding ceremony site.  Everything was perfect...awesome musicians, stunning bridesmaids, and of course a beautiful bride.  Their dog was the ring bearer which was too cute!  Following the ceremony, we were served cocktails and hors d'œuvres while the wedding party had pictures made.

This was followed by a champagne toast and delicious food.  Then the motown band made their way to the stage for a couple of hours of fabulous oldies.  We were then lead to the after party in a beautifully all white decorated greenhouse for many more hours of dancing to the DJ's beats.  There was a whisky lounge by a fire pit outside of the greenhouse as well as more food (this enabled people to dance all night long)!  Dancing is my favorite acitivity so this was my favorite part of the wedding by far!  The bus carried us home at 2am.

Sunday was brunch and lawn games.  It was yet again beautifully decorated with vintage sofas on the lawn and a ukulele player.  It was a wonderful ending to a busy weekend!

Thanks HG and Jed for a wonderful wedding weekend!  Congratulations to you both!  We love you and are blessed to have you as friends!  We can't wait to see what the future has in store for you :)
