Home from Thailand
Davis made it home at 8am yesterday and I woke up after only 5 hours of sleep to greet him at the airport with a smile and a hug. I was very glad to have him back, it had been 10 days! I took the pups with me as usual and Belle was super super excited to see her daddy, she loves him too much! Once we got home, he unloaded all of his Thai goodies and we took a 3 hour nap.
The goodies....
After our nap we headed to the theatre to watch Paranormal Activity 2, it was decent for this type of film but I thought the 1st one was scarier.
After the movie we headed to How to Cook a Wolf for dinner where we had soft boiled eggs, fettuccine, and octopus. It was pretty yummy
BUT of course we didn't stop there....we then headed to Old School Frozen Custard for a nightcap. It was a great Saturday.

Blog Update
I feel like our blog is so 2000 and late....and I thought maybe, just maybe, if I posted about it my wonderful, techy, brilliant, and cute husband would get the motivation to make it better/prettier/more user friendly. I mean really, what else is there to do in Thailand?? I guess he could be shopping for his beautiful wife but other than that, he's probably bored out of his mind.

Our Girls Weekend
October is becoming one of the best months of the year, why you ask....because it is my mom's birthday which has grown into a girls weekend. It started when I moved to Seattle and it has continued and grown over the past 3 years. Last year Mandy and mom came to Seattle and we had a blast, this year Mandy wanted to stay close to home since she did just have a baby 2 months ago so we headed to Asheville, NC. Asheville is a pretty cute little city and we stayed in the heart of it all. We walked, shopped, and ate mostly which for me = a great weekend :)
Mom had the pork tenderloin, yum! After a good night's sleep, we headed to Tupelo Honey Cafe for brunch. I had their famous Sweet Potato Pancake and once again I was very pleased. I did take a picture with my phone so it will not be posted for the time being. After brunch we went to Spa Theology for a couple of hours worth of treatments and pampering. This should definitely happen more often. All the pampering worked up an appetite so we were off to find more food.
Mom picked me up from the airport on Thursday morning and we had lunch with dad, Ava Reese, Greg, Mandy and mamaw. We then we and picked up the boys from daycare so that I could enjoy a little time with them, I love my boys. Nolan taking a picture
After playing and reading to them, we headed to Asheville where we immediately (after checking in) found a restaurant, Lexington Avenue Brewery, a gastropub. I had the wild mushroom truffle pasta and it was amazing.... Mom had the pork tenderloin, yum! After a good night's sleep, we headed to Tupelo Honey Cafe for brunch. love these girls
It was definitely worth every minute of the wait because we got the best seat in the house. We got to sit at the chef's table/bar and watch the chef prepare everything.
After dinner we crashed, we kinda had to...I'm not sure Mandy could make it anywhere else. The next morning consisted of Cracker Barrel and driving to Knoxville to eat with the whole family before my flight out.
After yet another delicious meal. Thanks everyone for partaking and planning around my schedule. I love and miss all of you :)
Flying into Chicago, that is Navy Pier.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM! I hope it was a great one and I hope we have many more to come :)
We finally decided on a pub and indulged in more food, but wait that wasn't enough so we went to have frozen custard. Mandy nor mom had ever tried frozen custard and I think they enjoyed it as much as I did. Dave and I love frozen custard, but we do love any and all ice creamy things.
The next morning we went to brunch, I sense a pattern here. We went to Mayfel's and I think this was my favorite. I had the Huevos Rancheros and my gosh they were so good. Shopping was next on the agenda and we found some great deals, thanks mom for making me buy them. Up next was Starbucks for the new Toffee Mocha, Pumpkin Spice Latte, and a chocolate chip cookie. Then we drove around for a bit (not meaning to, but you don't need to know all the details, right?) before ending up at Corner Kitchen. There was a really long (as in 1.5 hours) wait so we sat on the porch and drank a bottle of wine before dinner.

How do people have time to blog?
Seriously, I would like to know how all of you out there that I somewhat/no longer stalk because I don't have time....where do you find time to blog? It was easy when I only worked PT, but now it's a struggle to post once a week.
This past weekend started Viv night. Friday night I kept Viv and we had a great time together as always. I taught her "Shout," yes the song including the hands in the air and we had a slumber party in her bed pretty much because I was cold and wanted under the covers.
Saturday I had brunch with my girlfriends and it was amazing food with great gals. I love my new friends, I feel blessed to have them. After brunch Davis and I laid around until dinner time and then we headed over to a friend's house for dinner and games. I made homemade brownies and they were uber delicious :)
Sunday we had brunch with Lindsey and Freddo, went for a run, and then ate a ton of buttered cheesy popcorn while watching The Social Network. It was a pretty good film.
One day I will get around to taking and posting pictures again. One of the main problems is that I got an iphone and never take my camera along anymore. And I never connect my phone to the computer to get the pictures off that I do take....must do that soon or at least just email them to myself.
This is a short week for me as I fly out tomorrow for a girls weekend in Asheville. I am super excited for a girls weekend and for much needed spa treatments and pampering.
Davis leaves for Thailand on Saturday...maybe he will actually leave his hotel room to take pictures for us, I wouldn't hold your breath.

Hot Yoga, IKEA, and Molly Moon's
This weekend was busy as always. Friday night was date night at Quinn's, a gastropub in Capital Hill. I had chicken cooked in duck fat and it might have been the best chicken I have ever had. After dinner we headed to Molly Moon's for a little bit of this
and a little bit of this...
We do love ice cream :)
On Saturday, I tried hot yoga for the first time and it was great. I have been wanting to do it for a while and it just so happen my neighbor could get me into 1 class free that also included a free Italian lunch (free lunch = I am there)!! So for those of you who don't know, hot yoga = yoga in 100 degree room. I don't sweat often so for me to be soaking wet after 10 minutes was super impressive. I loved it, I just don't really have to time to do it during the week now that I am such a high powered business woman :)
After hot yoga and one of the best lunched ever, Dave and I headed to IKEA for some home improvement projects. We left IKEA with way more than we went for, but that seems to be the case every time. Here is what we accomplished this morning before Dave headed out to California.

I feel like all my titles now should be "Updates"
I have some videos of Viv I need to post, but they are on my iphone and I have been to busy to spend the time to get them off. But I figured I would go ahead and share this photo of her! She is growing so much especially now that I only see her once a month.
In upcoming news, I will be in TN in 2 weeks. Davis will be in Thailand in 2 weeks!
Tonight is Sushil and Nisha's home warming, so I am sure to have pictures to post this weekend. I hope everyone has a great weekend :)
