Yay! I know this may to come a shock for many because we haven't really been looking for a home. There was an auction this weekend that we have been interested in and preparing for about a month now. It worked in our advantage and now we have a home!
It is kinda ironic because when we first visited Seattle back in 2007, we went to the sales center for this particular building (that was yet to be built) and we loved the homes! We are super pleased with our unit and all of the amenities of the building! We now have a spectacular view of Seattle!
I will post pictures next week. Due to traveling to San Jose this week with Davis we will not get to see our unit until next week!
Auction Story - Davis had to fly to San Jose for work and therefore missed the part of the auction where I (yes I) bought our house! It was super scary and extremely nerve wrecking for me because although we had talked this through a million times when it comes down to making the BIG decision I just wasn't sure if he really meant it! He was super supportive when I called to tell him that we were homeowners! He said he was proud of me for doing it by myself and he was so excited that we had made the leap. I am so fortunate to have such a supportive husband!
Here is a picture of us pre-win since I knew he wasn't going to be there if we did win! This is our winning faces though!

Girls Night and Tyler's Departure
Last night we had a girls night in....Carly, Mali, Kristina, and me. As always when we get together, we had a great time! I made pina coladas and we watched The Hangover, none of the girls had seen it. I think it is hilarious...it was my 3rd time seeing it!

A Girls Trip
So much has happened....it is hard to keep updated as things happen, but last week I had an interview with Grant Thornton (a tier 2 firm, which means a relatively big accounting firm without being a BIG 4). The interview went well and I hope to hear something this week.
This weekend I went to Yakima with 3 other beautiful ladies. Yakima is a city to the south-east of Seattle by about 2.5 hours. It was beautiful! It is also Carly's, my friend in fashion design school, home town. There was a fashion show being put on in Yakima and Carly had 6 designs in it and we were her models! We had a blast!! We left Friday morning and arrived at her house at noon. Her mother had us lunch ready and we were able to lay out by the pool before hair and make-up! It was so nice to have the homey feeling since I am so far away from home! The show was GREAT and Carly's designs were of course the BEST. After the show we had dinner and drinks. We had a great time talking, dancing, and counting bobby pins at the end of the night. The next morning after breakfast we returned to Seattle.
In Davis traveling news....he will be in Mexico City this week and San Jose next week and I am going with him to San Jose....can't wait!!!

A Weekend of Bars, Music, Friends, and Games!
Labor Day weekend was wonderful! We hung out with friends every night and enjoyed the long weekend as much as we could have!
Friday night we went to an improv comedy show and I don't think everyone realized how NOT funny I am until they asked me to participate on stage! Yes, that's right yours truly went up front and had to be a guest star in one of the performances. I guess that might be one of the only qualities of mine that fits being an accountant! Not funny at all. We had a blast and all of the comedians were funny!
Saturday night everyone came over to our place for drinks, snacks, and games. We ended up playing dominoes until 2:30 am. Needless to say we didn't get much sleep all weekend!
Sunday night I made lasagna and then we headed out to the bars and then a much deserved trip to Beth's Cafe (our favorite 24 hour diner with delicious hashbrowns!)
Monday was a great day because my husband went with me to Bumbershoot, Seattle's labor day weekend music festival, to see The Black Eyed Peas! I love them and it was great to be able to see them in person. They did a great job and the rain cleared for the concert! Couldn't have asked for a better Monday!
In past news....last weekend we biked to West Seattle with the dogs. Beast loves to go biking just as he loves car rides because he LOVES the wind blowing in his face on the other hand Belle gets car sick and the same goes for biking. She puked twice on the 14 mile ride. We are hoping that she will get better with age and practice!
We also celebrated my CPA last weekend with friends at a Brazilian steakhouse! If you have never tried a Brazilian steakhouse I suggest you do. They are all you can eat meat and they are delicious!! It was great getting to celebrate with the hubby and friends. I am so thankful to be done, you have no idea!
